About Semillas Bilingual Early Learning

Welcome to Semillas Bilingual Early Learning!

At Semillas Bilingual Early Learning LLC, We believe that the earliest years of life lay the foundation for a child’s future. Semillas was created to provide a nurturing, relationship-based environment where infants and toddlers can grow through language, exploration, play, and meaningful connections.

Semillas, meaning “seeds” in Spanish, reflects Tamika’s belief that every child holds incredible potential. With loving guidance, rich learning experiences, and strong relationships, those seeds can grow into confident, curious, and compassionate individuals.

Philosophy

At Semillas Bilingual Early Learning, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and valued.

Young children thrive through play, exploration, and responsive relationships with caring adults. Rather than rushing childhood, we focus on creating experiences that support each child’s natural development while fostering curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

At Semillas, Early Childhood Educators recognize that language, culture, and family are powerful parts of a child’s identity. By providing a bilingual English Spanish environment, we help children develop communication skills, cultural awareness, and a strong sense of belonging.

Our approach is rooted in:

  • Respect for each child’s unique development

  • Strong social-emotional foundations

  • Play-based, hands-on learning

  • Meaningful relationships and secure attachments

  • Family partnerships and open communication

  • Cultural responsiveness and bilingual learning

  • Learning through exploration, discovery, and connection

Meet the Founder

A woman smiling outdoors on a sunny day, wearing a purple shirt and a heart-shaped necklace, with a winding path, trees, and blue sky in the background.

Hi!, I'm Tamika Ramirez, Founder of Semillas Bilingual Early Learning LLC.

With more than 22 years of experience in early childhood education, I have dedicated my career to supporting young children and families during the most important years of development.

My credentials include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development

  • Licensed Family Child Care Provider

  • CPR and First Aid Certified

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Throughout my career, I have worked with children of various ages, but my passion has always been supporting infants and toddlers as they develop the social, emotional, language, and cognitive foundations that will serve them throughout life.

Why I Created Semillas

I created Semillas because I saw the need for high-quality, relationship-centered infant and toddler care where children could feel truly known and valued.

Families deserve more than supervision—they deserve a trusted partner who understands child development, respects each child's individuality, and creates an environment where children can thrive.

Semillas was designed to be a place where children experience the warmth of home, the joy of learning, and the benefits of a bilingual environment while families feel supported, connected, and confident in their child's care.

“Tamika has been providing outstanding care for our daughter since she was 3 months old and we couldn’t be happier! Tamika is kind, attentive, and has great communication with us as parents. We are constantly receiving cute pictures and videos of our daughter as well as updates on how she is doing throughout the day. She regularly shares helpful insights about our daughter’s development and routines and what seems to work best for her-like approaches that help her nap longer-which we appreciate. Tamika provides a safe and welcoming environment with engaging activities in which our daughter is able to learn both English and Spanish. Our daughter has already learned so much while attending Semillas and we look forward to watching her continue to grow in Tamika’s care. We strongly recommend Tamika and Semillas Bilingual Early Learning LLC to any parents looking for quality childcare.”
